Amber Hill Pumping Station
The pumping station, operated by the Black Sluice Internal Drainage Board is situated at the junction of Claydyke Bank and the Boardsides (A1121).
The pumping station helps to prevent flooding by managing water levels in the local drains and the wider Holland Fen catchment area.
In 1966, the original 19th-century wind and steam drainage engines were expanded to accommodate diesel engines and modern pump.
