Cllr CS welcomed everyone

It was resolved to accept the apologies

 

21/0129 To receive any declarations of interest in accordance with the Localism Act 2011.

Cllr CS declared an interest in planning application B/21/0209 and Cllr EG declared an interest in applications B/21/0326 and B/21/0300

18/08/21 Burglary at property on Claydyke Bank, large quantity of tools stolen – under investigation

We will aim to carry out some speed enforcement on Sutterton Drove in the coming weeks

20/0136 Platinum Jubilee

The Clerk confirmed that a notice had been placed on the website and facebook to gauge interest and it was reported that there had only been one person responding to say it was a good idea and no-one coming forward to organise anything.

It was resolved that the Clerk would advertise again in a few weeks’ time.

20/0137 Litter in the village

Letter from resident

A letter had been received from a resident regarding concerns over litter and that they had tried to get litter picking equipment from Boston Borough Council with no response.  Cllr RB confirmed that she had been in contact with the resident and that the issues had now been resolved.  It was agreed that the Clerk would write and thank the resident for their vigilance and commitment to fly tipping and litter in the village

 

Wombles

Cllr RB confirmed that she has received and distributed litter picking equipment to residents and that there were now a number of residents taking part.  She also stated she was looking to set a litter picking date later in the year when the grass has dropped down to retrieve any currently hidden litter.

It was resolved that Cllr RB will notify the date for the planned event and that the Clerk will then advertise this.

Action: Clerk to advertise litter picking event and send letter of Thanks to resident

 

20/0138 Street Light replacement

The clerk confirmed that she had received a notification about the condition of Street Light No 1 outside 28 Sutterton Drove and 2 options for its replacement.

After discussion it was resolved to accept option 2 the light have a stand-alone pole at a cost of £902.00 plus VAT, so as not to have issues at a later date if BT wish to change their pole. The clerk confirmed there were sufficient funds ringfenced to cover this cost.

Action: clerk to notify Boston Borough Council of the decision

 

20/0139 Speed Limit Sign replacements in the village

The Clerk confirmed that she had been in touch with the road safety partnership regarding the cost of replacement signs at £10 each or 6 for £40.  It was resolved that the offer of 6 for £40 would be taken up.

20/0139 Revised Financial Regulations

The Councillors confirmed they had read and all agreed to adopt the revised Financial Regulation.

 

In addition, the Clerk handed out drafts of additional policies to be reviewed and discussed at the next meeting.  Cllr EG asked the Clerk to look into a procedure to cover planning consultations

Action: Clerk to publish revised Financial Regulations and research into a planning consultation procedure

20/0141 Clerk renumeration for EO meetings/Website building.

The Clerk left the room while the Councillors held a discussion.

It was resolved that going forward the Clerk would receive an additional payment of £50 for each Extra Ordinary meeting held.  It was also resolved that she would receive this for the 2 EO meeting this year and an additional £200 for the work setting up the new website which will be taken from the transparency fund.

Action: Clerk to add additional payments to the next payroll run
